Canadian Henley! Everything you Need to Know

Canadian Henley is right around the corner! We are super excited and are looking forward to our last summer regatta being a great one! This is a massive regatta, with approx. 2800 competitors. There will be some awesome international crews racing, so we need to bring our “A” game!

The draw is up! Our race grid is available here. Below is a list of FAQ’s to help you plan accordingly, also check out
  • Passports are needed to cross the border, give yourself plenty of time to get there
  • Get international mobile service for texting, etc. (talk to your carrier, we will need to find each other)
  • wifi in the Grandstands (for a “small” fee)
  • Parking on Henley Island and at the Grandstands is free. Grandstand parking is tough to find, talk to Kendell for insider scoop on free race watching.
  • Spectators will need to buy daily or weekly passes ($10/day) and also buy heat sheets if needed.
  • Grandstands is covered but otherwise very minimal shade
  • Concessions are at both the trailer area (Henley Island) and Grandstands
  • Opening ceremonies, including free wine tasting and fireworks!, are Monday August 8th 7-9:30pm
  • MUST HAVE PHOTO ID (full name, birthdate, photo) WITH YOU WHEN YOU LAUNCH. No exceptions. Canadians are tough!
  • Be at course 2 hours before race; will launch boat 30min before start time.
  • PCRA unis, worn up at all times.
  • Keep your regatta wristband on at all times.
  • Sunblock, sunglasses, hat, rain gear, practice gear, cold weather gear, water bottle, remember weather changes

 Trailer Loading/Unloading – 6:45am Monday August 7th (we need all rowers, should be fast) and 6:45am Monday August 14th (Jake will bring doughnuts)
